DraftKings Showcard Week 17 options: Lineup Tips for Cowboys vs. Redskins, Titans vs. Texans NFL DFS

The Cowboys vs. Redskins and Titans vs. Texans kick off late in the afternoon on Week 17 with the effects of the NFL playoffs in both games. Dallas needs a win and some help, which is where Tennessee is at. Washington may play some history for Adrian Peterson, while the Texans could rest players despite Bill O’Brien insisting otherwise. DraftKings offers Showdown contests for both games to compete in two NFL DFS one-game contests.

Below, we have created a composition for each game. We used the AP as a captain against Dallas, and we are careful about Dak Prescott’s shoulder injury. We’ve also gone all-in in Tennessee as the playing situation is very precarious for the Texans to trust.

DraftKings: Cowboys vs. Drafts Redskins

CAPTAIN (1.5x points, 1.5x price): RB Adrian Peterson, Redskins ($ 11,400)

This is a bet for Peterson to get all the work he can handle in what could be his final game for Washington, and perhaps the final NFL game playing as a total workhorse. There is nothing else to play for the Redskins, so the AP should have plenty of opportunities to make memories. Peterson is also one of 180 rushing yards out of 1,000 this season – if it gets hot, wait for Washington to try to get him there.

FLEX: RB Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys ($ 12,800)

I really don’t want any part of Dak Prescott to hit his shoulder in this game, so the biggest bucks I spend on a Cowboy have to go to Zeke. With Prescott hurting, Dallas has to touch his end in a game he needs to win to have an outside shot at making the playoffs.

FLEX: WR Amari Cooper, Cowboys ($ 10,400)

If anyone is going to produce while Prescott’s shoulder is causing problems, he is Dallas’ most talented WR. Washington has nothing that looks like a finishing corner, so Cooper has to run pretty free.

FLEX: QB Case Keenum, Redskins ($ 8,200)

Keenum has done a very good job killing most of his starts this season and his price does not fully reflect the chances that he has a solid enough game to close out the season.

FLEX: TE Jason Witten, Cowboys ($ 5,200)

This could be the final game of Witten’s career, so don’t be surprised if Dallas appears at least a few times in the red zone.

FLEX: WR Kelvin Harmon, Redskins ($ 1,400)

Harmon’s price does not reflect his usual use as Washington’s No. 2 receiver. Don’t be fooled by Steven Sims’ big week 16 – stick with Harmon on a surpeme discount.

Advice Tips: Titans vs. Texans

CAPTAIN (1.5x points, 1.5x value): WR A.J. Brown, Titans ($ 15,000)

Brown has proven to be one of the best receivers in football lately and goes up against a secondary prone to winning deep. It will also get mid-range goals, but you have to love Brown’s big-play upside in this matchup.

FLEX: QB Ryan Tannehill, Titans ($ 12,400)

Tennessee has everything to play here, while Houston has nothing to play for. This lineup is gaining a steep slope for the Titans because of concerns for players who know Texans, though Bill O’Brien suggested that beginners play as usual. There are just too many injuries in Houston to trust, so Tannehill stacks up with Brown and the other three Titans here.

FLEX: RB Derrick Henry, Titans ($ 11,000)

Keep track of Henry’s injury issues, but he is fully expected to play and has to get all the work he can handle in a game he needs to win for Tennessee.

FLEX: TE Jonnu Smith, Titans ($ 6,000)

The last few weeks have shown what Smith can really do when the Titans are focused on getting him football. Expect the lessons they learned to continue until Week 17, as Jonnu is working on the second at Brown in the passing game.

FLEX: D / ST Titans ($ 3,800)

Hopefully, an old-fashioned Houston team that will eventually pull some of its starters was created for a Tennessee defense that has been solid all year to play and win fantasy points.

FLEX: WR DeAndre Carter, Texans ($ 1,200)

Carter played a little bit last week for Houston and if the players actually go out or pull to rest, Carter should be the player under the stretch of this game. All it takes is a big game at its price to return value.
