The Seahawks against the Vikings throw two teams near the top of the NFC against each other in Monday Night Football. Adam Thielen has already been ruled out, but most of the other stars look like solid choices in NFL DFS action. Our DraftKings Showdown series takes a careful approach to Seattle, based on Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett delivering tournaments for us.
The Lockett-Wilson stack is complemented by Rashaad Penny and Jacob Hollister, while we are still able to match Dalvin Cook with Olabisi Johnson in value with Thielen out.
DraftKings Renovation Options: Seahawks vs. Vikings
CAPTAIN (1.5x points, 1.5x price): WR Tyler Lockett, Seahawks ($ 14,400)
We’re not sure why Lockett is inferior to Stefon Diggs, but Lockett’s connection with Russell Wilson is too good to ignore in this single-game slate. There is too much floor for Lockett with his smaller banquets, and he has a plan to get to the top sometimes, too.
FLEX: RB Dalvin Cook, Vikings ($ 11,800)
With a heavyweight Seahawks lineup, we had to call Cook and Kirk Cousins. It made no sense to play cousins without space for Diggs, so we’ll get the basic 20 automatic touches of quality from Cook.
FLEX: QB Russell Wilson, Seahawks ($ 10,800)
Wilson is in the MVP conversation for some reason, and it would be silly not to stack him when using his top receiver as our captain.
FLEX: RB Rashaad Penny, Seahawks ($ 5,400)
Penny may be popular at this price, though the remaining uncertainty about his new role could keep him from being too hard to forge. No one else at this price has the opportunity for 12-15 strokes.
FLEX: TE Jacob Hollister, Seahawks ($ 4,800)
We needed to find another dish in Seattle (you could play a kicker, if you prefer). Hollister’s price dropped a few weeks ago, which wouldn’t have happened had Wilson hit an easy touchdown a week ago. So we’ll get the supposed fall in value.
FLEX: WR Olabisi Johnson, Vikings ($ 2,600)
Adam Thielen is already out for Monday night, so Johnson is a deal as the No 2 Vikings WR for at least another week.
