DBZ55

A Super Saiyan is destroying the south galaxy, and King Kai senses it. He understands that the north universe will be the next to be attacked. He telepathically communicates with Goku, who begins monitoring the Super Saiyan’s energies. When a spacecraft crashes into an Earth picnic, an army of humanoid alien soldiers greet Vegeta as their emperor. Their commander is revealed to be Paragus, a Saiyan who claims to have created New Planet Vegeta and desires for Vegeta to take the Saiyan kingdom. Vegeta accepts after Paragus informs him that the “Legendary Super Saiyan” is destroying the cosmos and must be stopped. Vegeta is accompanied aboard the spacecraft by Gohan, Future Trunks, Krillin, Master Roshi, and Oolong. Vegeta encounters Paragus’ son, Broly, on New Vegeta, and he joins him in his search for the Super Saiyan on other planets. Gohan, Trunks, and Krillin learn that New Vegeta is desolate save for the alien captive people who disclose that a Super Saiyan demolished their civilization. The enslavers start abusing them, but Gohan and Krillin stand up for them. When Goku arrives, Paragus greets him and invites them to dine at the palace. Broly becomes disturbed by the sight of Goku. Paragus relaxes his son by wearing a bracelet with a mechanism that connects to Broly’s headband. Despite this, Broly assaults Goku at night, necessitating another visit from Paragus to soothe his son.

Goku assumes Broly is a Super Saiyan, and Paragus considers the mind-control device, suspecting that it is failing due to Broly’s angry response to Goku. Paragus hypothesizes that Broly’s aggressive Saiyan tendencies are emerging due to Goku’s power, then recalls that they were born on the same day to explain their fated encounter after all these years. When Goku and the others discover the truth about Broly, they face Paragus. His hatred for Goku grows to break free from the mind-control device. He eventually changes into the Legendary Super Saiyan, a rage-filled giant. Broly confronts Goku, who is shielded by Trunks and Gohan, while a terrified Vegeta loses his fighting spirit. Paragus mocks Vegeta while claiming that Broly was born with a power level of 10,000 and was so terrifying to King Vegeta that he had the newborn executed. After failing to persuade King Vegeta to spare Broly, he was stabbed and left dead with his father. Frieza also destroyed the world on the same day. Broly’s survival instincts drove him to shelter himself and Paragus, and they soared out into space, safe under Broly’s protection. Broly became increasingly unstable and cruel as he matured. To appease his kid, Paragus was compelled to deploy a mind-control device. Still, he intended to use him to take his revenge on King Vegeta’s lineage and transform the Earth into a new Planet Vegeta. Paragus says that a comet is on its way to New Vegeta and will destroy it upon impact. Broly controls Goku, Gohan, and Trunks until Piccolo comes and uses Senzu beans to cure them. They fight Broly once again, but they are still far outmatched. After being chastised by Piccolo, Vegeta’s pride recovers and confronts Broly but is immediately knocked out. Before being attacked and slain by Broly, Paragus prepares to flee the dying planet in a tiny space pod. Despite Broly’s growing might, Goku confronts him again. He is viciously thrashed while he begs his buddies for assistance. Vegeta reluctantly offers Goku his energy, which he may use to launch a powerful blow into Broly. The Legendary Super Saiyan’s power becomes unstable as a result. As the comet strikes and destroys New Vegeta, Goku, his allies, and the enslaved people rejoice as they escape aboard Piccolo’s spaceship.
