What is the Plot of Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans?

The only surviving member of the Tuffles, a race that had previously inhabited Planet Plant before the Saiyans arrived, is Dr. Raichi. In addition to destroying the entire Tuffle race, the Saiyans also stole their technology, conquered the planet, and gave it the new name Planet Vegeta in tribute to their king. After escaping, Raichi took refuge on the Dark Planet and began planning to exterminate the last remaining Saiyans.

He sends equipment to Earth that can extinguish all life by emitting Destron Gas. When Mr. Popo learns that the planet will be destroyed in a matter of hours, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo rush to take out the equipment around the planet. All but one are destroyed, and an impenetrable energy barrier shields that one. However, the heroes are confronted by Frieza, Cooler, Turles, and Lord Slug. King Kai reveals that the bad guys are ghost warriors who, unless killed in the same way their lives were originally ended, will keep reviving after being killed.

The heroes locate Dr. Raichi on the Dark Planet and confront him there after learning that the ghost warriors he summons are produced by a machine called Hatchihyack that is run on the Tuffles’ rage. The fact that Dr. Raichi is a ghost warrior created by Hatchihyack is also known. Hatchihyack reaches its limit when Vegeta vaporizes Raichi, preventing him from rematerializing due to Dr. Raichi’s hatred. Hatchihyack makes an appearance in a strong android body. Before the Saiyans, after becoming their Super Saiyan forms, combine their powers into one enormous wave of energy and end the threat, Hatchiyack decimates the heroes.

Earth Saga

DBZ301

Dr. Lychee is one of the last remaining members of the Tuffles. This race inhabited Planet Plant before the Saiyans arrived. In addition to eradicating the entire Tuffle race, the Saiyans also stole their technology, conquered the planet, and gave it the new name Planet Vegeta in tribute to their king. With the help of a capsule, Lychee could escape and seek safety on the Dark Planet, a planet at the edge of the cosmos. Now, all he wants is to wipe out the last of the Saiyans.

Dr. Lychee achieves this by placing on Earth machinery that emits Destron Gas, which kills all life, and by dispatching numerous monsters to guard the Destron Gas emitter. When Mr. Popo/Bulma learns that the planet will be destroyed in hours, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Piccolo rush to take out the evil machinery around the Earth. All but one are destroyed, and an impenetrable energy barrier shields that one. However, Frieza, Cooler, Turles, and Lord Slug show up and start a fight with the heroes one on one. King Kai reveals that the bad guys are Ghost Warriors who, unless killed in a manner identical to how their lives were originally ended, will keep reviving after being killed.

Space Saga

DBZ241

When the heroes confront Dr. Lychee on the Dark Planet, they learn that his Ghost Warriors are produced by a device known as Hatchiyack, fueled by the enmity of the Tuffles. Dr. Lychee’s identity as a Ghost Warrior created by Hatchiyack is also known. The heroes destroy Dr. Lychee, but he later rematerializes. Thankfully, Vegeta turns Dr. Lychee into vapor, stopping him from rematerializing. However, Goku asserts that Dr. Lychee’s animosity toward the Saiyans causes Hatchiyack to surpass its limit and manifest in a full android body, possibly with power equal to or even more significant than Broly’s.

Until the Saiyans, in their Super Saiyan states, combine all of their energy sources into a single, potent Energy Wave, Hatchiyack destroys the heroes. Goku uses Super Kamehameha, Gohan uses Super Masenko, Future Trunks uses Burning Attack, Vegeta uses Final Flash (but fired in a Maximum Flasher-style). Piccolo uses Special Beam Cannon (Piccolo only takes part in the final battle in the 2010 version). Goku and the Dragon Team are sent back to Earth via Instant Transmission before the fierce competition causes the entire planet to erupt.
