DBZ81

In an unknown world, a young human is crushed to death by a giant monster that then disappears as an invisible entity that laughs and announces that it is destined for Earth.
On Earth, as Great Saiyaman and Great Saiyaman 2, Gohan and Videl save an older man from committing suicide. The guy identifies himself as Hoi and hands them an enchanted music box, explaining that a hero called Tapion is locked within and that the only way to fight the impending evil is to open it. With all other ways to unlock the potential chest exhausted, magical dragon balls are collected, and the eternal Dragon Shenron’s wish is used to open it. Tapion was released but expressed anger at his release, explaining that inside him was a half-ferocious beast named Hirudegarn that only the box was coming out of. Tapion escapes into solitude but is visited by Trunks, whom he likes. Soon the lower half of Hirudegarn appears and begins to attack the city. Gohan and Fidel try to fight him, with Gohan learning that Hirudegarn is only touchable when he attacks. The fight continues until Tapion plays a tune to Ocarina, which weakens Hirudegarn and causes him to disappear. Hoi claims that Tapion is the real threat and that the Ocarina must be destroyed, so he tries to steal the tool. In the ensuing melee, Trunks takes possession of it and chooses to stand by Tapion. Hoi escapes and accepts Tapion Trunks as a friend.

Tabon relays his story to Bulma and explains that a thousand years before, the existence of an evil race of alien wizards set out to destroy all life in the universe by awakening Herodgarn. Their victory finally takes them to the planet Tapion, where a priest creates an enchanted sword and two ocarinas capable of stopping Herodgarn during the fight. Tabion and his younger brother Minutia kept the monster at bay with the ocarinas. At the same time, the priest split it in half with a sword. In the aftermath, the Board of War decided to seal the two halves of Hirudegarn inside Tapion and Minotia and seal them inside enchanted music boxes to send them to opposite ends of the universe. Hoi, one of the surviving wizards, finds and kills Minotia and is now searching for Tapion to complete the Hirudegarn revival. Bulma builds Tapion a specialized bedroom so he can sleep without the monster escapes. However, this failed. The lower half of the monster reappears, and in desperation, Tapion begs to die to destroy the upper half of Hirudegarn, but the monster manages to escape.

Tapion tries to re-seal Hirudegarn within himself by playing the Ocarina, and Trunks orders him to be killed with a sword as soon as he does so. Trunks pause and Hirudegarn flees, smashing the Ocarina. The monster crushes Hoi to death as he gloats at his seeming win. Goku learns from Gohan that a monster is only vulnerable after an attack and takes a beating until Trunks steps in and cuts the monster’s tail with a sword. An angry Hirudegarn is weakened, allowing Goku to finally use the Dragon Fist’s attack to kill him.
