The next big hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also superhuman. She can’t shoot laser beams from her eyes, make sonic booms with her mind, or chase bad guys across the multiverse. Instead, the hero is Maya Lopez/Echo, a Native American woman who learns from the crime boss Kingpin how to become the leader of the New York street gang Tracksuit Mafia, even though she is deaf and wears a prosthetic leg.
Echo’s special skill? The ability of people to change. Maya deals with being deaf by becoming a better observer. She has gotten so good at it that she can watch a martial arts move and copy it immediately, making her a deadly fighter.
Most superheroes have many high-tech weapons, but Maya’s skills are nice because they aren’t digital. In the Disney+ show Hawkeye, where Echo is first seen, she fights Clint Barton and beats him. Maya tells the Avenger, who has hearing loss and wears a hearing aid, “You depend too much on technology.” You might be better off if you don’t have it.” At the end of the scene, Maya steps on Hawkeye’s hearing aid, which breaks.
Behind Maya Lopez’s tough exterior, she is a very sad person who wants revenge after her father was killed violently. The Disney+ show will probably show us a side of the MCU we haven’t seen much of before. As we learn more about the heroes who help people on the street, Echo will show us a new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here is all the information we have about Echo.

Echo Released Date?
The first episode of Echo will air on Disney+ on November 29, 2023. Disney surprised everyone when they said all six episodes would simultaneously be on the streamer. Echo will be the first Disney+ show to use Netflix’s binge-watching style. The move comes after it was said that Loki Season 2 would still air once a week. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have already come out in theaters, and The Marvels, Secret Invasion, and Loki Season 2 are still to come.
Is There a Trailer for Echo?
At the D23 Expo in September 2022, Marvel Studios showed off a trailer for Echo, but the public has yet to see it. Echo’s great fighting skills, a group of Native Americans, and the return of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), who is wearing an eyepatch, are all shown in the exclusive footage. People who watched the Hawkeye show will remember that in the last episode, Maya shot Kingpin out of view after learning that Kingpin had tricked Hawkeye into killing her father.
The first official picture released by Marvel shows Echo (Alaqua Cox) in the back of a forklift, looking tired but determined as if she just won a battle and is thinking about the next one. The photo shows Cox has a prosthetic right leg, making her even more badass than her heavily armed and armored superhero friends.
