Egypt and the United Arab Emirates sign an agreement to carry out a wind project with a capacity of 10 GW

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said on his Twitter account that he and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi witnessed the signing of an agreement to carry out one of the largest wind energy projects in Egypt with a capacity of 10 gigawatts.

He added: “We will continue to implement qualitative initiatives for renewable energy solutions and promote sustainable development.”

In a related context, the Saudi and Egyptian governments have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of electricity, renewable energy and clean hydrogen, in an effort to realize their common aspirations. in these fields.

This took place on the sidelines of the meetings of the 27th Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
