Egypt began their campaign in the Arabian Cup, hosted by Qatar, by defeating their Lebanese counterpart, with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together in Group D on Wednesday.
The only goal of the match was scored by Mohamed Magdy (Afsha), the Egyptian playmaker of Al-Ahly, from a penalty in the 71st minute.
Egypt collected their first 3 points, taking second place in the group, with a goal difference from Algeria, who beat Sudan 4-0 on Wednesday in precedence.
