The American company Boeing has announced the purchase of Boeing CH-47F Chinook aircraft by Egypt to modernize its fleet.
Boeing said deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2026.
Egypt has obtained approval from the US military to award the company a contract to produce 12 CH-47F Chinooks for the Egyptian Air Force, according to Reuters.
The value of the operation is 426 million dollars, and provides for the replacement of the Egyptian aircraft fleet (CH-47D) with the new “F” model.
