Egypt, one of the world’s largest wheat importers, relies heavily on shipments from Ukraine and Russia, and its government is looking for alternative supplies from countries like India and France.
Abbas El-Shennawy, head of the service sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, said Egypt aims to plant 1.075 million feddan of rice during the year. in course 2022-2023, which will contribute to achieving self-sufficiency.
