Egyptian authorities reveal the category exempted from customs value for the import of cars

The head of the Egyptian Customs Department, Al-Shahat Al-Ghaturi, revealed the category that is exempt from customs value when importing cars.

During a phone call to the Hazrat Citizen program, Al-Shahat Al-Ghatoori said: “The customs value of importing cars becomes zero in case a person is among persons with special needs, explaining that people with special needs are allowed to import cars from -for borders and the year of manufacture of the car is not required.

He explained that “people with special needs do not pay any taxes or customs duties for importing cars for them from abroad, but only pay a resource development fee”, noting that they are “completely exempt from paying any taxes.”
