Electronic rifles in the Russian army that hunt down small-sized drones

The first military unit specializing in the interception of small-sized drones appeared in the Russian army.

This military unit was formed in the Russian army, the first of its kind, to specialize in the fight against drones and small quadrocopters, on the basis of the 238th artillery brigade.

Members of this squad were called “drone hunters”. One of the unit’s officers using the “Cook” radio symbolic call said that his military unit uses anti-aircraft rifles, similar to a conventional rifle, which jams communication channels and transmits information from drones.

As for his battery, it was made in the form of a Kalashnikov assault rifle magazine, and the pistol was transported inside a special bag. The battery can be charged from a conventional electric cycle or from a car battery.

The gun is able to disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Beidou, Galileo and GLONASS satellite systems and cut off unauthorized signal transmission.

The gun operates in 3 frequency ranges: the first 2400-2483 megahertz, the second 5725-5925 megahertz and the third 1575-1602 megahertz.
