Bolton says they are “nauseous to the bone” after forward Elias Kachunga was a victim of racial abuse on Instagram.
the 29-year-old German winger, who joined the League One club on one two-year agreement in Augustus received “sickening racist and hateful comments” on his personal account after their 0-0 draw against Burton on Monday.
In a statement, Bolton said they have reported the comments to police and will provide Kachunga if necessary support as the team prepares for the game in Ipswich on Saturday.
“Racism and hatred have no” place not at all in society and I was sick to the bone on hearing of this disgusting abuse directed against one of U.S players’ said Bolton chairman Sharon Brittan.
