Tesla CEO Elon Musk launched a tough attack on Bernie Sanders on Twitter after the US Senator repeated his call on billionaires to pay more taxes.
“We should ask the very rich to pay their fair share,” tweeted Saturday Sanders, 80, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020.
The answer came from Musk, whose $ 286 billion fortune has made him a target of billionaire tax advocates, referring to Sanders: “I forgot you’re still alive.”
In a subsequent tweet, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX asked, “Do you want me to sell more shares, Bernie? Just say the word …”.
Musk continued tweeting, tweeting again on Twitter, with Sanders: “Get it, not creator.”
This comes when Musk sold Tesla shares worth nearly $ 7 billion last week, which resulted in the company’s shares of auto The world’s most valuable electric power plant to decline by about 15% and added 1.94% to Monday’s losses.
