American billionaire and owner of the new “Twitter” Elon Musk intends to start laying off new employees among the company’s employees, starting tomorrow, Monday, after his resignation in mass last Thursday.
This time, the layoffs will affect employees involved in sales and partnerships.
Earlier, Musk issued an ultimatum to employees: “Either stay, but increase working hours, or resign with three months of severance.”
As a result, there are significantly more technical personnel left than expected, according to Bloomberg sources.
Twitter continues to lose engineers and other workers, after its new owner, Elon Musk, gives them the opportunity to engage in a “hard” job or resign with a severance pay.
Some employees have turned to the dei platform social media to announce their resignations after Musk’s deadline for the pledge.
Others have gone in a private forum to discuss their plans to leave the company, asking questions about how their US visas would be at risk or if they would receive their promised severance pay.
Since his takeover of Twitter less than three weeks ago, Musk has laid off half of the company’s 7,500 full-time employees and the countless contractors responsible for content moderation and other vital efforts.
He fired top executives on his first day as Twitter owner, while others voluntarily left in the following days.
