Fans of A Place In The Sun are in for a surprising updatpresenter Craig Rowe has undergone a remarkable body transformation, shedding an impressive 15kg. This significant weight loss not only has him looking camera-ready but also reversed his pre-diabetes diagnosis. Speaking exclusively to AsumeTech, Craig revealed that consistency was the key to his lifestyle overhaul.
“I knew if I could be consistent and more disciplined, I could make changes, and that’s exactly what happened,” he shared. “Six months later, I’m two stone lighter. My blood sugar is now in the normal range, which is incredible. Before, it was always either high normal or pre-diabetic. The changes I’ve made and that focus on consistency are what made the difference. Even when I don’t feel like hitting the gym or going for a walk, I push myself to do it, even if it’s just for 20 minutes. That’s been a big shift for me.”
Craig’s fitness journey kicked off late last year after a conversation with a nutritionist. He stayed committed even during the festive season, a time when many let their resolutions slide. “I worked out all over Christmas. I said no to many parties to avoid excess drinking. I went to the gym on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. I was really committed. If I had given myself a break, I’d have likely gained weight more quickly,” he explained.
On top of regular workouts, Craig has revamped his diet. “I mostly cook, except when I’m filming. I rely on protein shakes when I’m away. I’ve gotten good at prepping meals. It’s really easy—just steam some veggies, whip up a salad, grab some pre-cooked chicken, and I’m set!”
Craig’s transformation has also impacted those around him. “My partner, who moved in with me in March, joked that I’d become a fitness bore because I started turning down parties. Once he moved in, though, he got on board too. Now he’s lost about 7 or 8 kg and feels great,” Craig laughed. “I like to think I’m leading by example, and it’s rubbing off on those close to me.”
After all his hard work, Craig feels proud of his achievements. “It’s such a reward to feel good in my own skin and to have reversed the pre-diabetes. I’m only out of the woods as long as I keep this lifestyle. If I revert to unhealthy eating habits, it won’t take long before I’m back in trouble,” he concluded.
