Gregg Wallace Denies Inappropriate Behavior Claims

In a stunning reveal, TV chef Gregg Wallace has found himself at the center of a swirling controversy following his removal from MasterChef. Tearfully recounting the moment that has changed his career, Wallace insisted he is not the man some have painted him to be. “I’m not a groper or a sex pest. I am not a flasher,” the 60-year-old host lamented in an exclusive interview with The Sun.

With visible emotion, he stated, “I have seen myself written about in the same sentence as Jimmy Savile and Huw Edwards—paedophiles and sex offenders. That is just so, so horrific.” Despite the gravity of the allegations leveled against him, Wallace recalled a more lighthearted moment from his time at the show where he donned a sock during a costume change, trying to make his colleagues laugh. “I opened the door, went, ‘Wahey!’ and shut the door again,” he shared. “Nobody was distressed.”

Wallace’s departure came after an internal investigation by the BBC uncovered numerous misconduct complaints from female colleagues. The investigation, which began in November 2024, led to over 80 allegations surfacing against him, detailing inappropriate comments and behavior that created what some have labeled a “toxic” atmosphere behind the scenes.

Responding to the allegations, Wallace expressed his relief at being cleared of the most severe accusations. However, he acknowledged that his sense of humor could sometimes cross the line, stating that he recognizes some of his language and actions were inappropriate “at times.” In a bid for redemption, he issued a public apology, striving to clear his name amidst the chaos unfolding around him.
