Kristin Cavallari is breaking her silence on the long-standing rumors surrounding her split from ex-husband Jay Cutler. During the June 18 episode of Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, the business mogul and founder of Uncommon James, age 38, addressed the speculation about her successful career and claimed that Cutler played no part in her achievements.
“Our revenue is close to $50 million a year,” she shared, making it clear that her flourishing business is her own doing. “People love to say that everything I have in my life is because of my ex-husband, and that he funded Uncommon James.” Cavallari emphasized her independence, stating, “I am, to this day, 100% owner, and I’ve never taken any outside funding.” She added, “I didn’t get a penny from my ex-husband. I didn’t get any money from our divorce, so let’s just clear that up.”
As the episode unfolded, Cavallari reflected on her new life after marriage in a candid moment with her best friend and celebrity colorist Justin Anderson. The conversation shifted to how her dating perspective has changed since her divorce from the former NFL quarterback, who is now 42. “It became really f–king hard,” she noted about reentering the dating scene. “I’m not going for toxic anymore. I am never gonna settle. I am waiting for my perfect.”
Anderson, also 42, pointed out Cavallari’s history of dating “really unhealthy guys” and probed if she ever felt challenged in her relationships. With a laugh, she recalled, “I couldn’t steamroll Jay.” However, Anderson raised an eyebrow, playfully challenging her assertion. “Yeah, you could, you owned Jay,” he quipped, providing a humorous moment that highlighted the ups and downs of their past relationship.
No episode would be complete without a glimpse into Cavallari’s family life. With three childrenâ€â€sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 11, along with daughter Saylor, 9â€â€Cavallari shared how they keep her grounded, especially regarding her dating choices. When talking to her sons about an upcoming trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, Camden cheekily questioned, “What’s in Scottsdale?”
“That guy,” Cavallari replied, teasing them. When asked if it was the “hockey guy,†she clarified, “He’s a baseball player.” But that didn’t stop Camden from joking, “Is he like 27?” to which Cavallari responded, “He’s 30.” Jaxon, not missing a beat, remarked, “Oh mom, too young then,” while Camden chimed in, “I dunno about it, mom. Dunno about it.”
Despite not revealing the identity of the mysterious athlete, Cavallari added a playful twist during her live show in Boston. “I can’t tell you who the athletes are that I’m talking to at the moment,” she teased. “Because there’s two of them!”
But when it comes to her ideal partner, Cavallari is setting the bar high. “It’s gonna take someone really f–king special for me to want to continue to make them a priority,” she confessed. “I want someone who is my rock, who I can really lean on and really trust, because I’ve never experienced that in a relationship.”
