Agatha All Along has reignited excitement among Marvel fans, with whispers of Joe Locke’s return as Wiccan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The speculation intensified after Locke’s portrayal of Billy Maximoff in the series, which was a pivotal reintroduction to the franchise.
With Billy now re-established, many are eager to know when this beloved young hero will make his next appearance, especially as the Multiverse Saga approaches its climax. Recent developments suggest that Locke may have profound news regarding his MCU journey.
During a TikTok live session, Tony and Grammy winner Steven Sater mentioned Locke’s involvement in a Marvel movie, possibly marking his debut on the silver screen within the MCU. “I know he’s doing a Marvel movie,” Sater said, hinting at the whirlwind of projects Locke is juggling, including his role in Heartstopper. This revelation has left fans buzzing with anticipation.
At present, neither Locke nor Marvel Studios have commented on Sater’s statements. Speculation runs rampant regarding which specific MCU film will feature Locke as Billy. However, the only project currently filming in London is Avengers: Doomsday. Notably, Spider-Man: Brand New Day won’t commence filming until August, and will take place in Glasgow. Given this timeline, it seems plausible for Locke’s Wiccan to join the cast of Avengers: Doomsday.
As the beginning of the end for the Multiverse Saga, it would indeed make perfect sense for Billy to have a role in Doomsday. With no other MCU TV shows for Phase 6 currently in production, this project appears to be the most fitting platform for Locke at this moment. However, only time will confirm these exciting rumors.
Sater’s insight implies that Wiccan’s MCU movie debut is not far off, although there remains the possibility of misunderstanding. Still, with Kevin Feige’s earlier confirmation that more cast members for Avengers: Doomsday were yet to be revealed, the inclusion of Billy seems more plausible than ever.
Surprises are a hallmark of the MCU, and while the fog of uncertainty lingers, the prospect of Locke’s involvement in Avengers: Doomsday is tantalizing. The anticipation builds as fans eagerly await to see how Billy Maximoff will fit into this monumental MCU chapter.
