Equatorial Guinea beat Libya in the qualifiers for the African Nations

Malabo-Equatorial Guinea: Equatorial Guinea defeated Libyan host 2-0 today Monday in the second round of Group Ten of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Ivory Coast. Mohamed El Tohamy of the Libyan national team scored an own goal in the 51st minute, before Federico Pekoro added the second goal in the 84th minute from a penalty. Equatorial Guinea scored the first three points in its qualifying campaign, after losing in the first round to Tunisia, leading in ranking, to share second place with Libya. (Dpa)
