More than 45,000 people were killed in 11 provinces in southern and southeastern Turkey due to the February 6 earthquake, and the death toll exceeds fifty thousand, including those who fell in Syria.
On Monday, the Turkish president apologized for the delay in organizing relief in the first days after the earthquake, while relief was being lifted from the rubble, and on Wednesday he reviewed in front of the parliamentarians of his Justice and Development Party that the relief operations are been delayed for several days “due to chaos and weather conditions”. He revealed: “But a few hours after the earthquake, our ministries contacted the authorities of the affected cities and began to coordinate the work.”
