EU offers grant to Egypt

The European Union has provided Egypt with a financial grant of 117.9 million euros to support the budget of the water and energy sectors.

Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat said the grant is provided as part of the strategic relationship and ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the European Union to support the state’s development plans and priorities through effective development cooperation, and in line with the state’s efforts to promote the transition to “green” economy and the implementation of friendly projects. Environment, especially in connection with the fact that Egypt is preparing to host the UN climate conference COP27.
