European gas prices rise after shutdown "Nord Stream-1" for supporting

Gas prices in Europe rose today, Wednesday, after the cessation of pumping gas from Russia to Europe via Nord Stream 1 for scheduled repairs.

By 09:21 Moscow time, gas futures rose by 5% to $2,883.1 per thousand cubic meters.

Today, the Russian company Gazprom has suspended the pumping of gas from Russia to Europe through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline for 3 days due to the need to maintain a large pumping station on the pipeline.

Earlier, Moscow confirmed that technical obstacles due to Western sanctions prevent the operation of Nord Stream 1 at full capacity, and stressed that these measures are irrational and interfere with work.
