exam series win over England won’t count for much in WTC final, says Trent Boult

The New Zealand team arrived in Southampton on Tuesday (June 15th) for die first test world championship final, from June 18th at the Ageas Bowl.

New Zealand beat hosts England at eight wickets in the second Test to die series 1-0. Tom Latham led die side in die absence of Kane Williamson, who is now available for the WTC final.

“I don’t think it matters for much. Good preparation and good for all to have a hitout and some time to yourself belt”Said Boult who self made a return to competition cricket with match numbers of 6-119 in the second Exam.

Boult had missed that first Test like him joined the squad too late in England.

“Just really look forward until this week, can’t wait and hopefully it will continue on our good Shape, “Bolt added.

The 31-year-old, who played 73 tests for New Zealand said he was expecting a bit of Skirmish between the rival players since they are all known with each other due to the Indian Premier League.

Boult plays for defended the IPL champions Mumbai Indians.

“It’s a little different, (we’ve seen) a couple of IPLs players and guys we are known with of certain teams. I didn’t see any of my fellow Mumbai Indians still and I am sure there will be a little of Shared banter and a few smiles.

“Obviously with social distancing everyone keep theirs distance and be one of those unique Situations, ”he said.
