Fahd bin Jalawi sponsors the opening ceremony of the Women’s Taekwondo World Championships

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Olympic Committee, His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic Committee, sponsored the opening ceremony of the Women’s World Taekwondo Championship, in the presence of the President of the Local Organizing Committee Adwaa Al-Arifi and the President of the Federation International Taekwondo Chung Won and the President of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, Brigadier Shaddad Al-Omari, on the green pavilions of Riyadh.

The world championship, which takes place for the first time in female version, will see the participation of 171 players in representation of 36 countries, including six Saudi women, who will compete in six weights (under 46 kg, under 49 kg, under 53 kg, under 57 kg, under 62 kg and under 67). kg, 73 kg and above).

His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi opened his speech at the opening ceremony, welcoming the participating athletes: “I am delighted and honored to welcome the international taekwondo family here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in this historic moment in especially for taekwondo, and sports in general”.
