Fantastic Football Ranking Week 16: Quarterback

This is probably the youngest Tom Brady who has been in our fantastic QB rankings since his first year, but the lack of production mixed with a brutal matchup with Buffalo has sent him off. That’s okay, though – most owners in Week 16 championship games don’t figure it out anyway.

Brady is not the only big-name QBs that is below our rankings. Jared Goff (@ 49ers), Baker Mayfield (vs. Ravens), Derek Carr (@ Chargers), Kirk Cousins (vs. Packers), Josh Allen (@ Patriots) and Carson Wentz 15. The kids who Replaced by them include Andy Dalton (@Dolphins), Ryan Fitzpatrick (vs. Bengals), Mitchell Trubisky (vs. Chiefs), Drew Lock (vs. Lions) and Gardner Minshew (@ Falcons).

WEEK 16 RATING NO PRESENCE:
Running back Wide receiver Tight end D / ST | Kicker

Obviously, you take the risk if you start any of them, but the matchups are there. You are equally at risk of starting any of the bigger name QBs since they all have inconsistent and much tougher matchups. Hopefully you don’t have to deal with this problem and someone like Lamar Jackson (@ Browns), Deshaun Watson (@ Buccaneers) or Patrick Mahomes (@ Bears) can start.

There are many schools of thought when it comes to “never sit your nails” versus “playing matchups”, but there is no perfect strategy. Keep track of weather reports, use common sense, and when in doubt, go with the gut.

Reminder: Check again for rankings throughout the week.
