Dalvin Cook has already been ruled out for Monday night’s football, but Vikings RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is officially in question for a Monday night matchup with the Packers. With fantasy football tournaments that may come in the final game of Week 16, whether or not Mattison plays is vital. If he is out, we expect Mike Boone to be a backbone with Ameer Abdullah breaking into third.
The official active / inactive report drops at approximately 6:50 pm ET, and we’ll have updates here on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Alexander Mattison playing Monday night?
Mattison did not exercise at all in Week 15 with an ankle injury that was previously unknown. He seemed to lose all week 16, before taking a limited practice on Saturday to recommend him as a true decision on Monday night’s game.
Given that Minnesota is already playing with Cook, there is no obvious reason to push Mattison beyond what he can do. Even if it plays, it could be limited, but that would prevent owners from counting on Mattison or Boone.
The easiest outcome, assuming no one relies solely on Mattison for an end point, is for Mattison to go out. That could get Boone off to a start after he got 13 tackles in relief a week ago, and this is a solid game against a weak Green Bay defender running. If for some reason you were relying on Mattison to play and you couldn’t get Boone, you have two options if Mattison is out. You could pick up Abdullah if he was for your RB spot (or Jamaal Williams of Green Bay if available). If it’s a FLEX spot, look at Allen Lazard of Green Bay or Geronimo Allison.
