“FAO”: a significant drop in material prices prime food globally in June

Today, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released the latest Food Price Index, a measure that tracks the monthly changes in international prices of five food products: (cereals, vegetable oils, dairy, meat and sugar).

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reported through its index that there was a noticeable drop in food prices in July, indicating that the carefully monitored food price index it reached 140.9 points in July, an 8.6% drop from June, marking the fourth consecutive monthly decline since reaching its highest levels earlier this year.

He pointed out that, despite this, this indicator remained 13.1% higher than in July 2021.
