The FIFA 22 Companion App is coming out this week on Android and iOS but won’t be available simultaneously as the Web App.

EA Sports has confirmed that the Web App will be available to use as soon as servers go online today, September 22.

Returning FUT 21 players whose accounts are in good standing can create their FUT 22 Club, start trading, and claim returning user rewards.

These will be essential to securing a solid start in this year’s Ultimate Team, which looks set to be just as competitive as ever.

But while the Web App is going live today, gamers will have to wait a little longer for the FIFA 22 Companion App release date.

EA Sports has revealed that the FIFA 22 Companion is coming out on September 23, a full day after the Web App.

No reason has been given for the difference in the schedule but it makes a lot of sense from a practical standpoint.

Not only will there be a huge surge of gamers trying to access the Web App at the same time today, but many will also be hitting their phones.

To try and keep servers as stable as possible, it makes sense to stagger the release of the two very popular Apps.

This is the release schedule as confirmed by EA Sports this month for the FIFA 22 FUT Apps:

  • September 17, 2021: FUT 21 Web App goes offline.
  • September 22, 2021: FUT 22 Web App comes online – If you’re a returning FUT 21 player with an account in good standing, this is when you can start using the Transfer Market.
  • September 23, 2021: FUT 22 Companion App launches – This is your chance to update your Companion App on Android and iOS.

No set time has been announced for when the FIFA 22 Companion App will be available to use but it would make sense for its launch to be staggered by at least 12 hours, if not more.

Gamers should check the Google and Apple App stores regularly over the coming 24-hours, especially at midnight, 5pm and 6pm BST.

Here are some of the key details to make sure you get early access to the FIFA 22 Companion App this week:

“You must have created a FUT Club in FIFA 21 and logged in to FUT 21 on your platform before August 1, 2021, to be eligible for early access to the FUT 22 Web and Companion Apps.

“Your FUT 21 account must still exist, and that means if you’ve deleted your Club, you won’t be able to get an early start.

“If you don’t have access, it means you have either done things in the past that broke our rules, or we don’t know enough about you yet to make a decision on whether you have earned this privilege.

“Playing FIFA 22 once you have the full game can contribute to earning access to the Transfer Market on the Web and Companion Apps.”
