Florida Panthers’ Noel Acciari discovers second hat in five days

Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari scratched the first career hat of Monday’s game against the Ottawa Senators. It didn’t take him long to get his second.

He records it in his next game, Friday, against the Dallas Stars. The best part; It took him about four minutes.

Acciari’s first goal came at 7:26 into the second period. With Florida leading 4-1, Acciari took a pass from Vincent Trocheck and slotted it in front of goalkeeper Stars Ben Bishop from the slot.

He succeeded again just 32 seconds later, finishing a tic-tac-toe last game by Trocheck and Jonathan Huberdeau.

His final goal for the natural hatty came on a penalty kick at 11:25 of the second, with the Panthers short-handed. Stumbled on the pump before slipping the five-hole ball after Anton Khudobin, who had been relieved by Bishop, to reach 7-1, Florida.

The 28-year-old Johnston, R.I., winner now has 11 goals and 13 points in 31 games this season after his back-to-back caps.
