Former Juventus player Christian Bonino was caught urinating pitch-side before coming on as a substitute with the Serie C Lecco club. The incident happened during the first group match against Piacenza. An assistant referee, however, caught the 26-year-old, and he received a red card for the offense. Lecco coach Luciano Foschi believes that the punishment for the former Italy under-19 player was harsh. He hoped that the referees could apply the spirit of the law since nobody was offended, and no one was present to see the incident. The match ended in a goalless draw.
