Former MMA fighter sentenced for role in Uprising at the United States Capitol

New Jersey gym owner Scott Fairlamb, a former MMA fighter nicknamed “Wildman”, was sentenced to over three years in prison for his role in the uprising at the United States Capitol.

The 41-month sentence imposed down on US District Court Judge Royce Lamberth on Wednesday marks the toughest punishment ever for a participant in the breach of the Capitol. Fairlamb, 44, was the first Riot of January 6 to be condemned for a violent crime, pleading guilty to assaulting a police officer and obstructing a official proceed.
