Former Real Madrid star Messi: Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?

Former Real Madrid and Netherlands star Raphael van der Vaart criticized Lionel Messi after his side Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City met in the Champions League group stage.

And the former Dutch international said in comments reported by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, yesterday, Thursday: “Messi pisses me off. in field, aren’t you ashamed? It’s a shame”.

He added: “It started with Ronald Koeman (the former Barcelona manager), where he (Messi) refused to work with him, and that’s not good for a player like Messi.”

Van der Vaart continued: “The question now is that Messi wants to do a serious job or not? If he doesn’t score or assist, he’s playing a bad game.”

He continued: “Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two different players, but Ronaldo is fighting and wants to take his team to a new level.”

The “City” and Saint-Germain summit, which was held last Wednesday, ended with the English team’s 2-1 victory in the prime group matches, and together they reached the Champions League final.

34-year-old Messi left Barcelona during his last summer transfer period to join the Parisian team, with whom he played ten games in all competitions so far, scoring four goals and scoring one goal.
