Fortnite fans have been given an early look at what to expect from the end of season event and Chapter 3.

The latest Fortnite season will come to an end on Saturday, December 4. Titled ‘The End’, the season finale event takes place at 9pm GMT for fans living in the UK.

If the rumours are to be believed, the end of season event will be followed by a period of extended server downtime.

Much like the transition from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, the downtime could last for a couple of days.

In the meantime, fans have been speculating about the nature of the end of season event, and the changes coming with the launch of Chapter 3.

Judging by the latest leaked trailer (below), the end of season event should be pretty spectacular. Needless to say, there are huge spoilers ahead, so be warned.

As you can see from the leaked video, the map appears to be swallowed up during the events of ‘The End’, and potentially turned on its head.

This is followed by a huge tidal wave that looks set to wipe away the current map and usher in something brand new.

It’s believed the Chapter 3 map will contain more diverse biomes, possibly even the return of Paradise Palms.

Fans can find out for certain when ‘The End’ takes place on December 4 at 9pm GMT.

In the meantime, Fortnite developer Epic Games is making sure the current season ends with a bang.

Indeed, a recent hotfix introduced Party Worlds, which are similar to Hubs, albeit with a greater emphasis on social interactions and mini-games.

“Although players can hang out in Hubs, their main purpose is to surface fun content and islands and to help players discover creative experiences,” Epic explains.

“Party Worlds are places that are designed to be fun locations to hangout with friends and potentially make new ones.

That’s on top of a new Air Jordan collaboration, as well as the release of the Nick Fury skin.

According to the recently released hotfix patch notes, all NPC services and exotics are now 50% cheaper until the end of the season.

This means you can pick up some of the game’s better weapons without having to spend too much gold.

Elsewhere, the One Shot Duos LTM is also live, while the previous Wild Week changes have been reverted.
