Fortnite update 17.21 is coming out today, and Epic Games has provided some teasers regarding what to expect.

Today’s Season 7 patch is likely to be a little smaller in scope than others, but that doesn’t mean it won’t include any new content.

The new Grab-Itron weapon is expected to be part of the new update, which will give fans access to new abilities.

This will include being able to grab things and throw them, as well as being able to rotate through a selection of items.

The Grab-Itron will reportedly be available from Supply Drops, Floor and Chest Loots, as well as The Mothership Legendary Chest.

There are also other rumours that there will be a new Fortnite event hosted this weekend.

It’s unclear what this will include but with reports that there will be an Ariana Grande concert in the future, things could be revealed very soon.

Epic Games have also shared more on wraps, meaning there could be a few more coming our way.

“You’ve put your Wraps on your weapons and Motorboats, but now, it’s time to put them on yourself,” a message from Epic Games explains.

“The Show Your Style Set marks the debut of Wrappables. Outfits, Back Blings, and Pickaxes in the Set can be edited to display any of your Wraps, and you’re even able to mix and match ‘em. Want to equip the Magma Wrap on your Outfit and the Frosty Glow Wrap on your Back Bling? Go for it.

“The “primary color” of the items shown below can be edited as well. For the Outfits, this affects their hair colour and parts of their clothing.

“All players who purchase at least one of the Wrappable Outfits — either now or when they’re in the Item Shop in the future — will receive the free new Pixellator Wrap.”

And as mentioned above, Fortnite update 17.21 will be downloadable and playable after today’s scheduled server maintenance.

The full game experience will be offline for at least an hour this morning but could last longer across all platforms.

WHEN IS FORTNITE DOWNTIME FOR UPDATE 17.21 STARTING?

The Fortnite server downtime scheduled for today has been set for 8:30am BST on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

For gamers in the United States, this will mean maintenance starting at 3:30am EDT on the same day.

No one should be left waiting for the servers to come back as all platforms will be coming back online at the same time.

And while Epic Games has not provided an exact time servers will be back online, they have confirmed how long it could last.

According to the official Fortnite site, maintenance could last for up to four hours, meaning things should be back online by 1pm BST.

More news, including official patch notes, are expected to be shared during today’s Fortnite maintenance.
