Fortnite update 3.19 is out now
Fortnite developer Epic Games has released a surprise new update for PlayStation 4, PS5, PC and Android.
Just a few days after the launch of Season 7, Epic Games has released another compulsory download for the popular Battle Royale game.
Update 3.19 weighs in at around 450MB, so it shouldn’t take too long to download and install.
Likewise, the new update doesn’t require any server downtime, which means you’ll be back in the game in next to no time at all.
In terms of patch notes, Epic has listed some of the fixes available as part of the new Fortnite patch.
According to a post on Twitter, the maintenance download fixes a problem with the pre-lobby loading screen.
It also corrects a problem with notifications when receiving requests to join a private party.
Finally, update 3.19 fixes an issue with Bows in Creative mode, and in spinoff game Save the World.
The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside a more detailed look at the fixes and patch notes.
“We’ve released a maintenance patch on PC that addresses the pre-Lobby loading screen issue, the issue negatively impacting Bows in Creative and STW, and the issue preventing a pop-up notification when receiving a request to join a private party,” Epic tweets.
“This maintenance patch has now been deployed on Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Android. We will inform you when the patch is available on the remaining platforms.”
As Epic explains, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players will be able to download the update later this week.
Epic Games is also investigating a problem with Two-Factor Authentication on its PC store.
“We’ve received reports that some players are experiencing an error when attempting to log in with 2FA credentials. We’re investigating this issue and will let you know once it’s been resolved.”
The new update launches just a few days after the release of Season 7, which adds new items, points of interest, weapons and more.
Other new features include UFOs, which can be accessed to speed around the map and out of danger.
As part of the Battle Pass, fans will be able to unlock Superman, Rick of Rick and Morty fame, and a customisable alien trooper.
Superman will take the place of Neymar, meaning you’ll be able to unlock his skin and items later this season.
