France bans unvaccinated Americans to enter for non-essential travel

France shall update to be trip guidance to record bans for travelers from the United States and Israel without a COVID-19 vaccination.

With reference to a recommendation from the European Union for Member States to impose stricter access requirements, France moved several countries from Green to Orange list status, die restricted non-essential travel by unvaccinated persons.

The European Union two weeks ago took multiple countriesincluding the United States, Israel, Montenegro, Lebanon and others, off it’s safe to travel list. Having Delta variant cases increased in some countries, and the US has showed a delay in vaccinations in some states.

France already laid a strict set of restrictions as cases rose sharply in the country at the start of the summer because of the rise in delta prevalence. The government suggested the use of a “sanitary” pass” – de official name for proof of vaccination – for entry in common indoor areas.

The new restriction will last effect from Sept 12. Fully vaccinated people stay enjoy unlimited access.

Unvaccinated persons are allowed to enter the country as long as they can name an essential point reason for travel tourism, family attend of second homes are not considered essential reasons.

Unvaccinated individuals should: also present a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours for entry and must in quarantine for seven days after arrival.
