French Energy Minister Agnès Panier-Ryochan announced that France will restrict the use of illuminated advertising in the country and will ban leaving doors open in air-conditioned stores in an effort to save energy.
Speaking to the Journal du Dimanche, the minister said: “In the coming days, I will make two decisions, the first of which is to ban the use of illuminated advertising, regardless of the size of the city, from 01:00 to 06:00. :00 am, except at airports and train stations… While the second decision will prohibit shops from opening their doors while the air conditioning or heating system is on.
They added that violators of these restrictions face a fine of up to 750 euros for open doors and 1,500 euros for illuminated advertising.
Commenting on the proposal of the European Commission to reduce gas consumption by 15% over the next eight months, Pannier-Ryoshan assured that her country will contribute to this area, since in this case the EU countries should work together.
