For the first time since the start of the pandemic, France recorded a new one on Tuesday record of 501,635 daily infections with Corona virus in the past 24 hours.
The number of daily infections is currently the highest in France than any other European country, as the average rate exceeded 360,000 cases of the virus in the last week.
Furthermore, official data showed that more than 30,000 people infected with the Corona virus were receiving treatment in hospitals across France, the highest number since November 2020.
But only about 3,700 wounded had to be hospitalized in intensive care, a lower figure than previous waves of cases that have seen an increase in injuries.
The highly infectious omicron is believed to be behind the latest wave, which is less dangerous than the delta mutant.
About 364 people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths due to Covid in France at 129,489.
These numbers come after they came in on Monday in the new Covid measures imposed by the government are in force.
People who frequent bars and restaurants, and those who use trains and planes are now required to present a vaccination certificate, in how much the test negative is no longer sufficient to enter work and entertainment places as well as to travel.
