Free technology for teachers: ScriptSlide
ScriptSlide is an interesting add-on for Google Presentations that takes the speaker notes in your Google Presentations and displays them in a teleprompter-like screen that you can operate with your phone. That may sound complicated, but it is not.
Here is how ScriptSlide works. First write your presentation with speaker notes as you would normally do. Second, enable the ScriptSlide add-on and click the “Open ScriptSlide” button in the sidebar. Third, scan the ScriptSlide QR code to control the flow of the script as it appears on your computer screen. Here is a short video that shows how the three parts work together.

Applications for education
At first I thought of ScriptSlide as a tool for typical teleprompter settings such as making a video in which you talk to a camera. Then I tried the remote control aspect and realized that it could be great to pacify the delivery of notes that you show in your classroom. Simply tap the “Next” button on your phone when you use ScriptSlide to browse through the notes that you view in class.
