PS5 consoles could be back in stock at GAME, just hours after the previous PS5 stock drop.

After a slow month in April, thousands of PlayStation 5 consoles went on sale at GAME earlier this week.

Needless to say, the consoles were snapped up by customers within just a few hours.

The good news, however, is that a second drop is expected to take place before the weekend, albeit a much smaller one.

The UK retailer often follows a big PS5 stock drop with a much smaller one the following day. This is due to cancellations and surplus stock discovered in stores and at the warehouses.

“GAME ISN’T OVER,” PS5 Stock Alerts tweets. “They will have cancelled orders dropping again within the next couple hours so if you have anything in your basket you can checkout easily!

“We should be able to alert you again as soon as it drops.”

A shipping delay in April has seen double the units arrive in May, which is why now is your best chance to secure a unit.

To give yourself the best possible chance of securing a console, it’s worth bookmarking some of the more popular stock checker accounts.

This includes Digital Foundry DealsStock InformerPS5 UK Stock – Instant UpdatesPS5 UK Stock and Express Gaming – the latter of which will have live updates throughout the week.

Some of the accounts mentioned above have Discord groups for PS5 customers, while some have live streams and alerts on sites like YouTube.

Customers are generally encouraged to have multiple devices open when trying to purchase a PlayStation 5, and to sign in to retail accounts when available.

Now is a good time to grab a PS5 console, following the release of some high-profile new games.

This includes new Housemarque third-person game Returnal, which is described as a roguelike bullet-hell shooter.

“After crash-landing on a shape-shifting alien planet, Selene finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again and again she’s defeated, forced to restart her journey every time she dies.

“In this roguelike shooter, both the planet and your equipment change with every cycle, forcing you to adapt your play style and take on evolving challenges.”
