A dive into DnD lore
It’s clearly the RPG of the year: Baldur’s Gate III takes us on a Dantesque adventure to the borders of Faerûn. A fascinating journey from start to finish, with rich and gripping writing that rests on solid foundations. Because yes, if you weren’t aware, you should know that Baldur’s Gate III, just like its predecessors, is taken from the universe of Dungeons and Dragons, the famous board game franchise.
In fact, we find in the software everything that constitutes the foundations of this universe. The different races, factions, religions and deities, places… in short, the many elements created for Dungeons and Dragons are faithfully transcribed here. Following this logic, it is notably possible to find several alphabets and languages invented for DnD within Baldur’s Gate III. You can also discover a preview of it from the start of the experience, within character creation. Thus, the different tattoos offered are made up of several symbols, which go beyond the purely aesthetic aspect. These tattoos do have a meaning that is not devoid of humor.
Larian’s good joke
It’s a fact, Baldur’s Gate III can be very funny at times, but this joke is certainly more subtle than others. The TikToker TheWingedBaron made his discovery by looking at the character editor’s tattoos. Looking closer, he quickly understood that he was dealing with infernal runes, that he is possible to decipher by learning the infernal alphabet of Dungeons and Dragons. An alphabet that Larian seems to master to perfection. If you like meaningful tattoos, maybe take the time to learn the infernal runes.
@thewingedbaron If it wasn’t clear. I love you @Larian Studios. Thank you for being silly #baldursgate3 #bg3

On the nose, you will simply have the word “nose” written in the infernal alphabet. Same for the forehead. And if by chance you want to get a tattoo on your neck, you can then show your attachment to the developers since the tattoo corresponds to the words “Larian Studios”. The joke is obviously very funny and only hints at the ton of secrets that Larian might have hidden in son game. If you have these tattoos, no longer wonder why Karlach and the tieflings of the Emerald Grove sometimes look at you with a air odd.
