Pixar’s latest film Onward takes place in a suburban fantasy world where elves, unicorns and fairies live alongside grocery stores, lawnmowers and garbage trucks – a world in which real magic has almost disappeared despite the magical population.
The last trailer for Onward revealed the main trick of the film: after the brothers Barley (Chris Pratt) and Ian (Tom Holland) received a magic wand, they carried out a messed up resurrection and ended up only summoning half of their father. And it’s not even the part that they can speak, hear or recognize in any way.
The two brothers stumble through the suburban fantasy world with only two legs and have to find a way to fully summon their father before a 24-hour period ends. This new trailer unveils the next part of her epic quest – a hero’s tavern run by the fearless Manticore (Octavia Spencer). It’s kind of a family-friendly restaurant, ala Denny’s, and Manticore is Cory, the fearless manager.
