A new update for Balatro, known as Update 1.03, has recently been released. This update is accessible across all gaming platforms, as well as on PC. Balatro Update 1.03 Patch Notes
Arm Upgrade:
- The Arm upgrade has been enhanced to make it more effective. Players will no longer be able to downgrade their poker hand below level 1.
Main Menu Crash Fix:
- A bug that caused the game to crash when returning to the main menu after unlocking a trophy has been resolved.
Standard Pack Enhancement Fix:
- Players will now find that enhancements/seals in standard packs are properly tied to the Ante in seeded runs.
Grammar and Nomenclature Updates:
- Various grammar and nomenclature issues with Jokers have been fixed for better clarity in English.
Black Hole/Soul Bug Fix:
- An issue where Black Hole/Soul cards were not appearing based on the Ante has been corrected.
Card Tag Wording Changes:
- The wording on Foil, Holographic, Polychrome, and Negative tags has been adjusted to provide clearer explanations of their effects.
Chicot Bug Fix:
- Chicot disabling the Manacle now correctly draws a card to fill the empty space in the hand.
Hanged Man Bug Fix:
- Destroying any non-glass card with Hanged Man no longer results in a message under Glass Joker.
Raised Fist Bug Fix:
- Raised Fist now triggers in order with face cards/10s as intended.
Perishable Challenge Update:
- The wording for the perishable challenge has been adjusted to clarify that “all Jokers are eternal.”
Mid Stakes Achievement Fix:
- The ‘Mid Stakes’ achievement now correctly unlocks on Black stake instead of Blue stake.
Controller Mapping Fix:
- Players can now cycle around both the right and left of the hand when selecting cards using the controller.
UI Fixes:
- High score text and future skip tag popups are no longer hidden behind other UI elements.
Perkeo Bug Fix:
- Copying certain tarot/spectral cards with Perkeo, such as WoF and Ectoplasm, no longer causes a crash.
Erosion Bug Fix:
- Erosion can now properly be eternal without any issues.
