Exciting News for Baldur’s Gate 3 Fans!
Larian Studios recently announced that the physical version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will now be available on four discs. This means that the release date may be pushed back to April, but don’t worry, it will be worth the wait!
Originally, the Deluxe Edition of the game was supposed to come on three discs for Xbox Series X, two discs for PS5, and one disc with a CD key and installer for PC. However, due to space constraints, the Xbox version will now come on four discs.
Michael Douse, Larian’s director of publishing, shared this update on Twitter, explaining that they didn’t want to compromise on content quality. As a result, the first wave of physical copies for Xbox may be delayed until the first week of April.
The Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99 / €79.99, will include physical items like a world map, an original soundtrack (on 3 discs), a Mind Flayer poster, deluxe box, stickers, and patches. In addition, there will be digital extras like the Divinity Item Pack, Bard Song Pack, exclusive Dice Skin, and more.
On top of all this exciting news, Douse also announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 has now reached over 10 million players! Keep an eye out for more updates as the studio continues to work on official mod support for the game.
