Beat Saber Ends New Content for PlayStation VR Users

Beat Saber Stays Strong, But No New Content for PlayStation VR

Beat Games just dropped a bombshell: the Beat Saber universe is about to change for PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR2 fans. No more fresh content is on the horizon for these platforms starting June 2025.

The game is set to continue thriving on Meta Quest and Steam, leaving PlayStation users in the dust. “As we look to the future and plan the next big leap for Beat Saber, we’ve made the decision to no longer release updates for PS4 and PS5 starting in June 2025,” the development team stated.

This comes on the heels of the surprise release of Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra on June 5, which will be the last song added to PS VR and PS VR2. After that, any new tracks will exclusively land on other platforms.

What This Means for PS VR Users

For those rocking the PlayStation gadgets, the news isn’t all doom and gloom. You can still dive into VR action, playing Beat Saber and accessing tracks released before the deadline. Players can purchase songs or music packs released prior to June 18, 2025, so there’s still life in the old setup.

However, come January 21, 2026, multiplayer will wave goodbye for PS VR and PS VR2. Beat Games reassured users that customer support will remain active to ensure their experiences are as seamless as possible.

“We’re grateful for the incredible support you’ve shown us over the years,” they added. Despite halting new content updates, the team is eager to unveil future plans that promise to take Beat Saber to new heights.
