The Game Awards unveiled a trailer for Bravely Default 2, not to be confused with Bravely Second: End Layer.
The trailer showed what we know and love about Japanese role-playing games: a woman with a crystal, castle towns and a group of adventurers standing on a cliff.
The story will be completely new and include a new set of characters from the original Nintendo 3DS game. While Bravely Second: End Layer continued the story of the original game, it looks like Bravely Default 2 is a new stand-alone game where only themes from the first game are exchanged. This is nothing new to Square Enix as both Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy titles have followed suit.
The game will once again be made by Team Asano and Claytechworks, and Reno will return to make the soundtrack.
Bravely Default 2 will be available exclusively for Nintendo switches and will be released in 2020.
