Gearing up for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Reloaded
Release Date and Updates
Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 are set to receive the mid-season update from Activision. Season 5 Reloaded is scheduled to be released on August 30 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The update will be available from 5 pm BST UK time. The launch of Season 5 Reloaded will be accompanied by a major update that will bring significant gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and balance changes. Call of Duty enthusiasts can look forward to enjoying the new content and features.
New Content and the Arrival of Lara Croft
On September 9, Lara Croft, the iconic protagonist of Tomb Raider, will be added as a Store Operator Bundle to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, bringing new content to the games.
As per the official description, players can expect to utilize Croft’s expertise in archery, dual pistols, and other small-arms combat, as well as her renown as a legendary adventurer and archeologist.
The bundle also features three Weapon Blueprints, namely the ‘Ice Axe’, the ‘Mythic Defender’ SMG, and Lara Croft’s signature ‘Mach-5’ dual pistols, along with a loading screen, sticker, Emblem, and a ‘Tomb Buggy’ vehicle skin.
Fort Resurgence and Armoured Royale
As part of the Season 5 Reloaded update, Fort Resurgence has been added to Warzone, which includes the entire Al Bagra Fortress point of interest in Al Mazrah and its immediate surroundings.
Upon launch, Fort Resurgence will have its own playlist, separate from the Resurgence rotation that contains Ashika Island and Vondel.
This means that players can now dive into three distinct Resurgence maps in a single play session, alongside other DMZ locations such as Building 21 and the Koschei Complex (within Al Mazrah).
Additionally, the Season 5 Reloaded update brings back Armoured Royale, which will be playable for Quads.
Additional Updates and Features
In the upcoming game mode, each squad will be equipped with a robust MRAP vehicle that can be upgraded both offensively and defensively for improved performance.
It is important to note that periodic maintenance such as repairs and refueling will be required to ensure the vehicle remains operational and undamaged.
Additionally, the DMZ expansion will offer new missions for all five factions, along with new upgrade tasks that can unlock additional benefits for operators.
The complete patch notes, to be released later today (August 30), will detail various changes to weapon rebalancing and the addition of the ‘Host Leaves Game’ feature.
