Composer Yuka Kitamura Leaves FromSoftware
Yuka Kitamura, the composer known for her work on games such as Elden Ring and Bloodborne, has announced that she is leaving FromSoftware, the company she has been with since 2013. Starting in August, she will be pursuing a career as a freelance composer.
The Journey at FromSoftware
Kitamura initially joined FromSoftware in 2013, contributing to projects like Armored Core: Verdict Day. She later went on to work on highly acclaimed titles including Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Deracine, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring. Although it is uncertain if she was involved in FromSoftware’s upcoming game, Armored Core 6.
Elden Ring Expansion and Music Announcement
In February, the first expansion of Elden Ring, titled Shadow of the Erdtree, was announced. However, specific details and a release date are yet to be confirmed. Bandai Namco, the publisher of Elden Ring, has recently launched a YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing the music from various FromSoftware titles.
