Following the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 from April into September of this year, designer CD Projekt Red states the video game’s multiplayer element most likely won’t surface till “after 2021.” The news comes as part of a financier question-and-answer session released online.
An investor on the call asked Michał Nowakowski, a member of CD Projekt’s board of directors and the senior vice president of business development, whether we must anticipate the multiplayer video game in2021 Nowakowski stated that was “unlikely.”
” Given the expected release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September, and frankly speaking of the series of occasions we expect to take place after that date, 2021 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer,” Nowakowski said.
The multiplayer element for Cyberpunk 2077 was very first mentioned in 2013, just to resurface formally in September 2019 when CD Projekt finally confirmed it was in development. During today’s call, Nowakowski also confirmed the multiplayer element is the AAA video game that his team has been dealing with simultaneously for some time.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now arranged for release on September 17 for Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
